Future Founders Adds Talent to Support Collegiate Entrepreneurs

Future Founders, a non-profit organization that believes every youth can become an entrepreneur, today announced the addition of two Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs) to support its collegiate Fellows in Future Founders Startup: Marc Grens and Susan Silver. It also announced the promotion of Ethan Adams to Manager, Startup Development.

Marc Grens is the Co-Founder & President of DigitalMint, one of the largest on-demand bitcoin cash exchanges in the country that operates in nine states and plans to expand to over 25 states in 2017. He has 15 years of experience in the investment industry and a proven track record of making companies perform at a high level. Since 2011, he refocused his efforts to work with entrepreneurs, acting as a hands-on accelerator to help businesses grow. Marc held senior positions at Charles Schwab, HighTower Advisors, and Alpha Strategies. He serves on the advisory board for companies in the financial technology, business services and pet technology industries, and is also an active angel investor in the Chicago tech community. Marc received an MBA from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University, studying finance and economics, and received his BA from Illinois State University.

Susan Silver is a marketing expert with almost 30 years of experience working with businesses ranging from those in the Fortune 100 to pre-revenue startups. Her company, Argentum Strategy Group, provides strategic marketing assistance to small and mid-sized B2B and B2C companies. Prior to founding Argentum in 2006, Susan’s background included selling for Procter & Gamble, conducting market research for Westvaco, and marketing, general management and P&L leadership positions at Kraft Foods. Susan is on the Advisory Boards of ZipFit and Po Campo, and has been an advisor to GiveForward and InContext Solutions. The marketing coach for the New Venture Challenge at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, Susan is also a Techstars mentor and she teaches marketing strategy at 1871. Susan earned her MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and graduated cum laude from Duke University.

Ethan Adams was promoted from Coordinator, Startups to Manager, Startup Development. In this role, Ethan builds relationships and develops resources to benefit collegiate entrepreneurs who participate in the Future Founders Startup program. He also expands the awareness of Future Founders through the execution of marketing strategies. Through Ethan’s hard work, motivation and initiative, Future Founders has scaled the impact and reach of its collegiate programming.
